Cigarette License

Alcohol and cigarette license in Thailand falls under the Entertainment License umbrella. If a particular business establishment wants to sell alcohol and cigarette, applying for and obtaining an Alcohol and Cigarette License with the Excise Department Office (Branch) is necessary. However, as per Thai regulations, sale of cigarette and alcohol near schools, fuel stations, religious areas, etc. is prohibited.

• The application must be a minimum of 20 years of age at the time of the application.
• The applicant must be mentally sound, and must not be imperfect or crazy, and must not be a defective character, or have deteriorated morals.

• The applicant must not be convicted of a crime related with sexual abuse as per the Criminal Code under the law of dissuasion of prostitution, law on women and girls trafficking, and the law on dissuasion of the distribution and the trade of pornographic materials.
